One on One Nutritional Appointments
Consultations are 3 hours in length.
Cost per appointment is $250 + HST = $282.50
All appointments include a review of your Food Journals, Health History Questionnaire and WISE forms. Healthy Hint suggestions are given including what, where, how and when to eat, supplements and healthy eating suggestions including healthy recipes.
Healthy eating can be simple if given the proper guidance.

All you need to do is to fill our a "Lifestyle Assessment Questinnaire" plus a 3 Day Food Journal and mail them to Shawn. When I receives your forms I will contact you via email to set up your 60 minute phone consultations. Both daytime or evening appointments are available to best suit your personal schedule.

Nutritional Consulting with Shawn
There was a time when eating correctly was just common sense. We were told to eat less fat and more vegetables. Today nutrition has become complicated because of terms like trans fats, saturated fats, omega-3 fats, phytochemicals, soluble and insoluble fibre not to mention the glycemic index. Our grocery store shelves are full of “food-like” products that further complicate the situation because of all their brightly packaged health claims.
Advertising has made nutrition sound complicated. This is where Shawn can help you. Shawn will simplify the science-based nutritional information that is in the media today and explain it in an easy to follow nutritional plan designed specifically for you so you can reach your personal goals.
Whether your goal is to shed excess weight, lower cholesterol or blood pressure, boost energy or simply stay healthy as you age, working one-on-one with Shawn will give you the tools and support you need to eat healthfully today - and for the long term.
Forms to fill out prior to your First Appointment
Once you have decided the time is right to make permanent changes to your nutrition, health and or fitness you can book your Initial Nutritional Appointment with Shawn. You will be sent via mail or e-mail the following forms: A Health questionnaire, a WISE questionnaire and a Food Journal Sheet. You can download the Health questionnaire and Food Journals, fill them out and bring them with you to your initial appointment with Shawn. The WISE questionnaire can be filled out on line, if possible and e-mailed to Shawn prior to your initial appointment so that Shawn can get a head start on your nutritional assessment prior to your first appointment.
Your initial consultation appointment with Shawn
During this initial 2 hour meeting, Shawn will gather more information from you. She'll ask about your risk factors for disease, lifestyle habits, medications, and nutrition supplement use. She'll also walk you through a detailed diet history to learn your eating/meal schedule, your portion sizes and, of course, your food preferences. Based on this information, Shawn will prepare your "Nutritional & Lifestyle Recommendations" that will be discussed at your First Follow-up Session. A couple recommendations will be made at your "Initial Appointment" to get you started.
Your first follow-up appointment with Shawn
Your "Follow-up appointment" and all consecutive appointmens will also take approx. 2 - 3 hours, depending on your personal schedule. At this time Shawn will present to you her step by step nutritional recommendations to allow you to work towards your personal health goals. Shawn will discuss what changes you can make to help improve your diet, your nutritional intake, your activity level and also your sleep and relaxation techniques.
Shawn will also discuss with you a customized meal plan that will outline the times, portion sizes, appropriate food combinations and suggestions for healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks with foods that you enjoy.
What about additional "Follow-up" appointments
Once you have completed your initial nutritional consulting appointment and your first follow-up appointment, you can add on more follow-up visits - in fact, many clients do. Subsequent appointments are helpful if you have not yet achieved your ultimate goal and need further support and guidance. Even if you have achieved your goals, you may decide to continue seeing Shawn periodically to help keep you on track and prevent slipping back into old habits. All additional follow-up visits are approximately 2 - 3 hours in length.
